EduTech boss visits ABU, Rates the University’s distance learning programmes high in Nigeria

Onyekachi Ginger-Eke, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of EduTech, a development partner that provides technical supports to ABU Distance Learning Centre, has visited Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria to interact with top management staff of the e-learning centre.
EduTech is a technology firm focused on bridging the gap between demand for and access to quality education through the process of decentralizing the traditional method of learning.
The company develops and manages for ABU Distance Learning Centre a number of student management portals, including a custom-made learning management system.
The firm’s chief executive officer had during the visit to ABU paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, who welcomed and thanked her for coming to the University.
In her remarks during the courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, the EduTech Co-founder rated ABU’s Distance Learning programmes high in Nigeria and thanked the University for the good working ties they have maintained since the time both parties signed a memorandum of understanding on the digital learning.
Ginger-Eke told the Vice-Chancellor that EduTech was committed to introducing a number of initiatives in the next phase of their relationship to further develop the institution’s distance learning programmes.
Receiving the EduTech chief executive officer, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, welcomed all the initiatives to be introduced by the education technology firm, saying that the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the adoption of the digital technology for e-learning all over the world.
The Vice-Chancellor also explained that the Federal Government embraced the initiative for the digital learning, saying that it launched a broadband infrastructure project in Nigeria last week to support e-learning and e-government.
The EduTech boss was in company of the firm’s Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Femi Osunbi, and Business Manager, Mr. Nalat Muda.
Prof. M.I. Sule, Director, Distance Learning Centre, Ahmadu Bello University, led the EduTech team to the Vice-Chancellor’s office for the courtesy call.
